    How to read chracters

    I have an image file ..
    In which there is some text ..
    i want to extract this text from image file using Vb6..

    You mean create an OCR program? There is an example for that in the Codebank

    But it is only useful if information about pixels of characters is available , Otherwise .. it will not work.

    Well it's hard to do and it can't be perfect anyhow... There are programs like FineReader and ReadIris that do this (Optical Character Recognition), and even those commercial applications aren't perfect...
