Call me slow... but I just noticed that Megatron has passed the 4096 marker... which as stated in the FAQ's is
new member 0-15
junior member 16-31
member 32-63
lively member 64-127
addicted member 128-255
hyperactive member 256-511
fanatic member 512-1023
guru 1024-4095 (awarded based on merit, not just post count)
?Wait and see? 4096+
So I checked it out... Megatron's rank is still guru...
So what is the missing rank? Or isn't there any... is it just some false rank that one achieves self satification? I think there should be some title for being the first to break the mark.

The titles are a parcel of crap anyway!
There are several members who ought to have been awarded Guru status long ago...

©¿©¬ : why don't you just post under your real name I know who you are!
I have been *extremely* busy with the development of vBulletin over the last few months, and so I have not had time to put the effort into this forum that I would really have liked to. But count yourselves lucky: you'll be some of the first people to be able to test drive the new software once it gets into beta, which should not be long now.
I am going to email all the gurus in the next few weeks to get recommendations for new gurus, and also to ask Megatron if he wants his very own custom user title (well do you?).
All the best,
John

Well ...
How about the title Megatron to anyone who crosses the 4096 mark?
I guess Megatron is the first one to do so, and undoubtedly it's not just the post count, so why not honour him by having a title in his name?
Well, that was just a thought. By the way, John, I pity you, 'cause you can't join all those members who are trying to post more and more and get to the next status. You will remain Administrator forever, unless you also have another member name under which you post in the VB forums, which I doubt.

well
i doubt i'll ever get to guru status with my post rates ... there's nothing wrong with megatron's name but for it to be a title is not really great ... how about making their names an image ... that way people can tell they have passed guru status

that would bring up too much conflict for the majorly religious, or athiest people in this forum...
and although it would be interesting to be called a God in something.... I am religious, so I wouldn't like that, because God is "#1", and well, some 4096+ poster... isn't

Well, I still see a problem... although this forum is mainly VB, we still do have other forums....
C++,HTML, ASM, Java, Etc....
the VB would have to be excluded..

Hehehe.
Actually...the only languages where I'm anywhere near good enough for that are C++ and VB.
And I'm not even sure on my VB

how about Master GURU, and then we can have like stars (graphical) around his name, and in posts where everyone's name appears in Black, Megatron's can appear in a diffrent color like BLUE or something

Poor John, I hope you have changed the status of Administrator to something else in the new vBulletin site. I guess that's the only way you can change your own status ...
