[Serious] How can we improve road saftey

I have this test to do and i got these question and a tie-brekaer question. How can we improve road saftey i put so far -

• Reduce speed limits
• Better road education for children

Does anybody know anything else i could put?

I don't think much short of autonimising vehicles would improve road safty much. There will always be people who shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Remove all BMW's from public roads
Ban SUVS from built up areas
Remove many speed cameras

Seperate test for women so they will fail
Speed limit enforced more severly with higher penalties for speeding
Limit on acceleration of vehicles (0-60 in 5 secs is excessive for a 30mph limit)
Dangerous driving means losing licence and never being able to take test again

CalTech is working on a car/highway system for complete cruise control...

A series of magnets on the front bumper of the car will detect a single line of magnets down the center of the road and a computer in the back will crunch that and keep the car centered.
Laser distancing tools on the front of the car will make sure that it doesn't come within say, 10 feet of the car in front of you.
And since it's a computer doing this, the reactions are instantaneous.

P.S. I believe they use a 266MHz computer for their current testing.. slow...
