Both this and your 2d Halo type game I would say are looking very good, with clean graphics, good controls and some nice effects - especially in this game. May I ask how long you have been coding?

I would suggest adding (to this and to the 2d halo game) some scoring system, or at least allow the user to see how many they have killed, and for this particular game, I feel that being able to kill/die would help - you already have the collision detection in place, so it shouldn't be very hard.

Thanks, ive been coding for 3 years now, since I was 11 (in vb) and scince 10(scripting), and now, I am 14. Right now, I am working on my 3rd tutorial, it is a 3d tutorial, and this is a screenshot below.

Currently, you can walk around with the wasd keys and look around with the mouse, fps style. Collision detection is also supported.

    wow dude, you rock hardcore

i myself am only 15, and just starting my first use of DirectX8. Are you planning on becoming a games dev when you're older? i always imagined that the younger you start, the more likely you are to get one of the jobs making the games, which are (afaik) hard to land.

Anyways, i eagerly anticipate your 3d tut, although it will be a while before i can advance to 3d!
