I see how you do it. But do you type it manually for each post or is there some setting in the editor which I am unaware of?

I just type it in manually. I use it so much its like nothing.
I was thinking of creating a hotkey to type [color=navy], but its no effort so oh well.
Edit: Just thinking that maybe tha add-in tool some members use to do the rainbow color and stuff could be
modded to include a single key that would type that in for me.
