Getting a job in IT
Do you think passing ECDL, would be a good start in trying to get a job in todays IT, or is there any other recommendations you would suggest.
I know bits of lots but master of none if you know what i mean.
Thanks

Re: Getting a job in IT
Saying IT is a bit vague there are so many areas that this could cover.
I've only seen a couple of ECDLs and they seemed very basic, how to use Word/Excel etc. Having this knid of knowledge goes without saying.
For development jobs Degrees are always good
With the hardware side practical experience is probably of more benefit

Re: Getting a job in IT
As DeadEyes points out, IT is a bit vague. There are many facets to IT.
What are you interested in?
Programming
Network Administration
Analysis and Design?
DBA?
