Thumbs up Congratulations to the Microsoft MVPs!

The moderators and I nominated a number of people from VBForums for recognition as Microsoft MVPs. At this time, at least two people have been given the honor. Congratulations to:

    • Mendhak
    • Plenderj

We appreciate your help here at VBForums, and apparantly Microsoft does too!

    Brad!

I don't even know what that is, but it sounds like a cross between an excellent thing, and something requiring disinfectant.

    So, congratulations....please wear gloves.

Well, that IS pretty cool. Seems like there ought to be quite a few others on this site that ought to get that recognition as well.

Re: Congratulations to the Microsoft MVPs!

All you have to do to get MVP status is just be nominated? How nepotistic is that?

I think we will see a pattern emerging soon. Not naming names eh.

If I have understood it right. You first have to get nominated by someone importent (ehhh...yeah you know what I mean, I guess if you nominated someone it wouldn't count for much. Me neither...just so you get the point and that there was no disrespect intended..). Then MS will take a look at your work in the programming comunity, and your skills. Then if they say you are good enough and helpfull enough, THEN you will become an MVP. Correct me if something was wrong.

Yes, that is correct. I was notified of my nomination in February, and the Microsoft MVP coordinator that I was dealing with via email told me that the confirmation process takes about 6 weeks to complete and I should hear whether or not I had actually been selected sometime around the first week of April.
