    -- April Fools --

We have to get involved it this. I can't believe that they're even considering it.
Imagine having to deal with the likes of this:

    - Likelihood of misuse by depraved or sick individuals. This
subsection must fully address the possibility that the proposed
protocols or protocol extensions might be used for the
distribution of blue, smutty, or plain disgusting images.

Re: "Morality Sections in Routing Area Drafts"

Thanks to the guys at IETF. They've been coming up with April 1 Drafts for about 20 years. A lot of them have been belived, with people trying to implement them years later.

This one was better, 15 years ago:

A Standard for the Transmission of IP Datagrams on Avian Carriers

    which involved carrier pigeons.

    http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1149.html

    Frame Format

The IP datagram is printed, on a small scroll of paper, in
hexadecimal, with each octet separated by whitestuff and blackstuff.
The scroll of paper is wrapped around one leg of the avian carrier.
A band of duct tape is used to secure the datagram's edges. The
bandwidth is limited to the leg length. The MTU is variable, and
paradoxically, generally increases with increased carrier age. A
typical MTU is 256 milligrams. Some datagram padding may be needed.

Upon receipt, the duct tape is removed and the paper copy of the
datagram is optically scanned into a electronically transmittable
    form.
