Mid( and Format( not Recognized (resolved)
Hi All,
I have a spreadsheet that has quite a few Macros in it. In testing, on my computer, (VB6), installed, the macros run fine. But when others run options, they get a compile error of "Can't find project or Library". and (MID) is highlighted. On other options, they get the same error with (Format) highlighted. The library for the mid is VBE6.DLL and that file, with the same date time stamp in on both computers. Any ideas?
\
Thanks in Advance.

Re: Mid( and Format( not Recognized
Have you checked that they both have the same reference files in use?
from your VB editor in excel
click Tools>references
do a comparison between the pc that it works on, and the one it doesnt

Re: Mid( and Format( not Recognized
In the VBA Editor check the references. Also are the other users running different versions of Excel or OS?

Re: Mid( and Format( not Recognized (Resolved)
I checked the references, and the other computers. Everyone is running on Windows 2000. The checked references are:
Visual Basic for Applications VBE6.DLL
MS Excel 9.0 Library EXCEL9.OLB
OLE Automation STDOLE2.TLB
MS Office 9.0 Object Library MS09.DLL
MS Forms 2.0 Object Library FM20.DLL
MS Windows Common Control 36.0(SP5) COMCT332.OCX
MS COMM Control 6.0 COM32.OCX
MS Common Dialog Control 6.0 (SP3) COMDLG32.OCX
The above files are in the same folder on both my computer and theirs. Only mine runs, and theirs don't!
(Afterthought) I deleted some of the references and the program works as advertised, apparently one of the references nullified the reference I needed. Of the above list, I unchecked the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th.
