well i have been quite new in VB envoirnment n have been a JAVA programmer for 3 yrs, i was quite happy with the Pluggable Look n Feel of Swing, but as far Vb is concerned its quite pathetic same old windows look n feel
can ne one pls suggest me how can i change the defaul look n feel of vb with some activex or something

change the background, make it abstract, make graphical buttons, add rolling techniques...

well i dunno y ppl still like that look n feel
but doin wat i have been suggested is not enough .. i mean i cud have done dat maself, i need some kool effects like we can put in java programs like changing the window GUI to look like Apple GUI.

I'm sure that after a few years of non-runtime programming you could easily transform the look and feel of any application.

well if u want to give to your application a cool... look then u can even use an ActiveX control that is known as VbSkinner..... just google it... ull get more info

There are all sorts of things you an do with Forms using APIs as well.

My favorite is making a round form. I think it looks very cool when used as an About box.
