Upgrade access 97 to 2003 problems
Hi there All.
I am upgrading a vb project to access 2003 data as opposed to the previous 97 databases. You have previously pointed me in the right direction on ADO which I am working on.
I have come up with another problem, I have code:-
CabStyleData.DatabaseName = Data_Path & "Cabinet Prices.mdb"
CabStyleData.RecordSource = "SELECT * FROM [Styles] ORDER BY [DESCRIPTION]"
CabStyleData.Refresh
I get an error message:-
Un recognised database format, Bla Bla
as above database format was 97 now 2003

You also need to update your connectionstring property to reflect OLEDB Provider 4.0 for 2003.

Re: Upgrade access 97 to 2003 problems
Hi
Thanks
can you be more specific?
I am in form load iniatiating various connections that will remain "open" while the programme is running.
CabStyleData is one of these connections
It bums out at CabStyleData.Refresh, whenthe "quality of the connectin is tested and found to be crap, so it was not opened properly.
can you direct me to some code or a tutorial somewhere?
cheers
a connection to teh database that is here being loaded in form load
