    Resolved Notepad [RESOLVED]

    When i type sumthing up in notepad and click save as. I dont want .txt at end so i put .mfs. How come when i do that it gives me name.mfs.txt? help me plz....

    Try changing the combo box too "all files".

    And other thing you should do is to go to Explorer and Tools->Folderoptions and then check or unchek or what ever the check box that says something like "hide file extensions for known file formats"

    You have to specify the extension, and also select ALL FILES in the dropdown.
    Instead of Text.txt, change it to Text.mfs or whatever extension you want.
    When you click OK, it will do it. You may not see it if you choose not to show ALL files. You can change this so they show up.

    i put all files....and put text.mfs and save. then when i check the file it's text.mfs.txt.....

    when i put .php it saves as a .php file. I tried .exe and it became an application, and now i cant delete it.

    SO ya...wut next?

    So it's my damn fault that my damn comp wont save the a file with the extension when im doing everything ur suppose to. Next time dont F**king say anything when you dont *** is wrong.

    do this, make a bat file. inside type
    rename file.txt file.mfs

    inside, works like a charm ; )

    make a text file, save it. Inside write your code for the bat, and click save as

    inside the filename part put "yay.bat" <--with quotes. it will make the bat with the info inside

    The quotes trick goes for any extension. so if you want thing.mfs then type "thing.mfs" and that is the filename that you will get. no need for .bat files.
