    Resolved hard disk space and used file space

    how can i calculate percentage of space used by my file on my hard drive?

    my file is 1194330 bytes and my hard disk is 83889594368 bytes.

    Do you simple mean 1194330 / 83889594368 = 0.000014236926629550871355096549177774 %

    Its only 1.14 Mbs of a 78 Gb hard drive. Very very small percentage.

    so i just need to divide hard disk space by file space and then multiply by 100 for the percent?


    could i round this number to say 0.0001% and be close to accurate when doing my entire hard drive?

    Yes, it should actually be 0.0014%. I forgot to multiply by 100. My number was the raw division result.
