Is there a way to prevent WinXp from auto detecting hardware and auto installing hardware.

The stupid OS will not let me remove, restart, and install the driver by myself.

It keeps finding the wrong SiS 6326 drivers and thus I cannot get Dx7 to even work in HAL mode...pitiful.

So I remove, restart, WinXp reinstalls the bad one, so I remove, restart, WinXp reinstalls the bad one.....

Even the hardare manager does this.
