    Resolved Microsoft Messeger

    I've tried using Messenger for the first time and as part of the signup process it says that I should receive an email from them on which I click a link so that they can everify my email address. I never received that email and the email address I used is correct. What do I do now?

    I don't remember getting email either. I think it is a normal Passport verification, so as long as you had one, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Can you get online with Messenger? Are you using Windows messenger?

    It should let you enter your email address and password and pick a screen name. If it lets you connect, then you just enter an email address of someone that you want to chat with. This puts them on your FRIENDS list, and you will be alerted whenever they come online. You have the option of not showing your presence to people that you don't want to bother you.

    You have my email address. I will keep messenger open looking for you.

    Also, you may want to download Trillian, which is a messenger that lets you chat with MSN, AIM, and Yahoo clients. WM only lets you chat with MSN clients. I just switched, and like it.

    Go to www.msn.com then go to hotmail it will then take you through activating your account.

    I would recommend using MSN Messenger v6.2 or 7 beta (If you want a beta version) instead of Windows Messenger, it's more friendly than Windows Messenger, Windows Messenger is the business version i.e. it connects to your Exchange Server or Live Communications Server in addition to the MSN servers and lets you do local chatting, MSN Messenger does not, it requires the MSN servers.
    I use Microsoft Visual Basic 2005. (Therefore, most code samples I provide will be based around the .NET Framework v2.0, unless otherwise specified)

    Windows messenger is just a plain messenger were as BETA is easier and has much more accssories on it!
