Time to start looking for a new job!

Ask the boss when we going to start going to .Net, he said we where not going to it!

    No future here then!

I know why all so, he does not like it! He does not get C++, so he real does not get .Net!

Same here. We asked when we can migrate everything from VB5 to VB.NET. The reply was effectively "never".
Could be worse I suppose, they could have requested migration to JavaScript

How about coding new components and sections of code in VB.NET?

We have wrote two app in .Net, the boss made us rewrite one in VB6!

And get mad every time something happens on the one .net we still have!

I thought you were gonna tell us the boss stopped molesting you.

Now THAT would be grounds to quit.

You could put a business case together for why .Net would make the company more effective/better than the competition. You've have to include current costs and new costs though. Apart from your boss being 'scared' of .Net its probably training costs which are bugging him.

Or alternative get a brand spanking new job somewhere else that is .Net compliant! (but I bet experience then becomes an issue??)

    Good luck

Go over his head to report your findings to the next up on the list, explaining that they need a creative thinker to guide them into the next decade, and that you want the job. if it doesn't work and they fire you, well, you tried.
