delete duplicate entries

i am trying to delete duplicate entries from my access database and keep only one entry using this line

strsql = "DELETE FROM det WHERE user='" & user & "' AND det=16 order by dat limit 1" & ";"

but i keep getting error
could any body here help me please

Limit is a MySQL function, not Access. How are you needing your delete statement to work?

Without testing it, try :-

strsql = "DELETE FROM det WHERE user='" & user & "' AND det=16;"
