How do I change backcolor of a Report
Hello there,
I have a Ms Access report and I want to change it's backcolor. I tried to change the backcolor of various sections of the report; the problem is the page at the background is white and all other sections are colored. I want to change that white color. How do I do it?
Regards,
Piyush

I don't think its possible. If you have changed all the sections then you'd need to expand the widths of the sections as much as possible to colour the background. But other than that, not I don't think you can.

Re: How do I change backcolor of a Report
Ok Thanks.
One more question-- I display multiple records through details section and I've given it different back color so when records are too many then it's ok but when there are only a few then there is a large white space between the details and page footer section. Is there any way to automatically resize the details section according to the number of records?

Re: How do I change backcolor of a Report
The page footer section is supposed to be at the bottom of the page. So if your details section only contains
a few records then there will be aspace by design. Your saying that you want the page footer to start
right after the details section when there are only a few records?

Is there any other way to achieve this. I mean without page footer section. I tried to add a new section but I think it's not possible.

Not quite sure if I follow you. If you mean increasing the details section to reach down to the footer then ???
But if you mean to increase the colored rows to fill the "gap", then maybe you could figure out how
many rows it takes and then pad the rows to fill the "gap".

Re: How do I change backcolor of a Report
When I increase the details section that increases the space b/w rows and I don't want that. Maybe I'll have to keep the report black and white

Re: How do I change backcolor of a Report
That would be easiest. Have you concidered changing the forecolor instead of the background color? It
would allow you to keep it all black and white, but depending on the criteria you can change certain records
forecolor, like past due record would be in red.
