I first thought you ment the cab/taxi company over there.......I can't see what is wrong with hunting with dogs. We use it for hunting down Elk/Moose and grouse hunting, and probably more.

But I don't think we are even allowed to shoot foxes though.

Isn't it that the dog chases the fox till it exhausted and then the horse-riding men come over the ridge and shoot it?

I'm not much for hunting - but that seems like "very little sport". Make sense to have a dog go fetch the duck you just shot out of the air - keeps your feet dry - that doesn't effect the sport issue so much...

why would you want to kill the good looking ladies?

Oh, you mean real fox-like creatures? Doesn't seem much like a sport, so nix it!

Indeed. They just ride along and watch the dogs rip the fox to pieces.
And has anyone noticed how there are no old dogs in the group? That is because after the dog turns two years old they are considered too old and are slaughtered there and then.

Lets start a new sport, hunter hunting!
We ride along in 4x4s and chase the idiots wearing the "scarlet" jackets. When in range we run them over. See how they like being ripped to pieces?

Killing for sport, I think, is wrong.
Killing for food or warmth (clothing) to me is fine.

Fox hunting is killing for sport.

I hate the way they object to drag hunting where someone runs an hour or two before to lay down a scent. Hunters dont like it because it doesnt cause suffering and isnt barbaric enough for their snobby self centered fat heads

    Re: Uk - Fox Hunting

Exactly. Drag hunting is exactly the same if indeed it was about "The Thrill of the Chase"
It proves how bloodthirsty the hunters are because every time someone protests about it they end up being assaulted. The hunters keep shouting about their democratic rights....yeah, well what about the democratic right to protest??

As for their argument that it was fast-tracked through parliament. I think they are forgetting that the House of Commons (who are elected by the people) passed the bill four times and was refused four times by the House of Lords (who are not elected). In this situation the House of Commons can vote a fifth time (which they did) and bypass the House of Lords making it into a law. This is a democratic process because the people who were democratically voted into office voted for what their constitiuents wanted. The majority, on five separate occasions, voted overwhelmingly to ban hunting with dogs.

    It's illegal, get over it.

    Re: Uk - Fox Hunting

Maybe a solution would be to introduce a ban on hunting; one where you couldn't do it in public, perhaps . . .

I saw three posh women holding dogs saying that there husbands would hunt anyway because its not a law they believe in.

I'm sure they would want the protection of the law if they met a rapist who thought rape shouldnt be a crime.

    Indeed.
I had to laugh when some toff said "If it means jail then so be it, I will still hunt". Perhaps after going to jail with murderers, rapists and other violent offenders he will change his mind?

I do not think they do!

And I real do not know about the hunting there!

But I do know that PETA is after all sportsmen!

Here they hunt and trap fox.

They need to start on coyotes now!
