    need help

    hello,
    i need to scan a object(leaf) from the scanner through my application which is of same size of the object and also my application should be compatible with all version of windows starting from win98 to winXP.
    how to access scanner in VB application?

    what is a scanner service? do you mean virus scanner?

    I think most scanners can use the TWAIN driver. Look that up. I don't have a lot of experience, but have used a few scanners in my time, and most of them used TWAIN drivers.

    Some of these might help, or they might not as I only marginally understand what you are asking.

    What do you mean by "leaf"?

    Unless you have access to computers running every operating system from '95 to WinXP (and everything in between), and have, in house, a wide variety of scanning devices, this is going to be very, very difficult to ensure.
