Re: Connecting Crystal reports to vb.net
Hi,
I've created a crstal report. Now I want to view it from Vb.Net. I've added the Reference to Crystal Report viewer and added the control to the toolbox. Then I drag & drop it in a form and try to put the path of the report to the reportsource. But it remains non-editable. What can I do guys? Am I miss anything? Would appreciate your help....

Re: Connecting Crystal reports to vb.net
Try adding your CR10 report in your project. It should appear on your solution explorer, double click on it it should open in your ide. Hit the Save icon and it should ask you if you want to save it to VS.NET 2003 Cyrstal Report format, answer yes.
Well this what with report made in vb5 that comes with CR 4, don't know if CR10 will work.

Now I found the meaning of what you are telling as "Associating". I try to open the .rpt file with the 'Open with -> Microsoft Visula Studio.NET' option. (Hope this is what you have wrote as 'Associating the .rpt file). But after that, I add .rpt to my solution and try to open. It open with Hexadecimal values (like FF, OF etc.,) What to do?

Hems.

Well i wasn't sure you could open a cr10 report in vs.net 2003. Maybe creating a new report with vs.net?

Re: Connecting Crystal reports to vb.net
sorry I have only used CR that COMES with VS.NET
what you should do is visit businessobjects.com, which is the maker of CR
They have lots of examples and information on how to use CR 10 with .net
