MSN virus
Just thought I'd give a heads up: Don't accept "LOL.scr" from anyone on MSN: it's a virus.
I mean, anyone with common sense would notice that the person hand't mentioned the file and that it is a PROGRAM!!!! but some people aren't very computer-smart I guess (like my girlfriend).
AVG anti-virus doesn't pick it up yet. (I scanned the LOL.scr file)
Don't pay attention to this signature, it's contradictory.

Why are you still with that women .... she doesn't deserve a boyfriend and she definatly doesn't deserve to use your computer.

Trust me, I laughed at her when she gave the big bang remark. I explained that NO God creating the universe was NOT the only theory etc...
Now I just have to get her to agree to test her 'therapeutic touch' powers so I can show that's wrong, too...

Hehehehe.....Everyone is affected now. I have 120 contacts...and they try to send me this **** all the time...I have to turn off MSN soon, or I will go mad...

I'm currently writing my own msn so I can have tabbed chatting. So far so good, just need to get chat working. It's logging in and everything.

Nice. What language? VB6? Will you ever reveal the source? I was once making a BOT using the MSN API, but it only worked for MSN 5. THey are changing too much in ever new version...

Theres issues with how windows handles the .pif format I think... atleast on XP anyway. Create a file with a .pif extension, windows hides the extension (even with show all extensions on), and MSN Messenger simply does whatever Windows is set to. Which is why you get the picture.jpg appearing in msn when its actually .pif
I submitted it as a bug, but I think I got fogged off.

If you want to turn this into a serious discussion  ...
In the registry, go to HKCR\piffile, and there should be a value called NeverShowExt. Deleted that value and .pif extensions will show up.
