Crystal Won't Start
I've created a database project with VB6 and crystal reports 10 developer. I'm using Install Shield Developer 8 for the installer. Everything installs fine and the program runs without any problem. However, when I click on the report button the reports starts and then closes before it even show's itself. I'm using the crystal merge modules in the installer. They are: license, rdcdesigntime, rdcruntime, and reportengine. Can anyone give me a clue as to what is the problem? Thanks

sorry can't help you out as it could really be any number of things... you may need to implement logging to a textfile in the exe, so that when it fails to show the report, you can go to the log and see how far it got... i use this method all the time to track down weird hard to spot bugs...
also check www.businessobjects.com, the developers of CR, they have a vast knowledge base of answers, as well as product updates, and samples..

Thanks kleinma,
I've been to businessobjects and couldn't find anything that would help. I even checked the forums. I did download all of the updates they had. After installing them I can't even get it to install now. I'll just have to work on it.

I thinkg ARPRINCE is on the right track. You are probably missing some CR dependancies.
Look in the runtime.hlp file for a listing of files required for each function/method.
