Promotions have been turned back on

For everyone's information, promotions based on post total have been reinstated on the board. We have had some difficulty with this feature before, so we'll be watching it closely for any malfunction. Needless to say, if any of you encounter abnormalities, please let us know ASAP.

Is there anything specific we should be looking for? Also has the FAQ been updated to include all facts (the various numbers such as the "spread", etc)about rating threads?

I can't even find it in the FAQ. What are we talking about? The title under our name? Or the groups. Power poster and so on?

The FAQ has not been updated to reflect the new "spread" of 10 people.

To clarify, we are talking Promotions = Rep Points Power?

Now I am confused. What did that have to do with JPnyc post. Didn't he talk about promotions based on post total?

I missed this thread, but we will need to get JPnyc to clarify.

Promotions are completely different from Reputations. Promotions are things that occur when something happens. I originally set up a promotion so that when you get 2048 posts, you are promoted to the Power Poster group. This promotion gets you more PMs and a custom title. When we first turned this on here, it caused threads to go blank if there was a post from someone in the Power Poster group in the thread. As such, we turned it back off. I'm guessing by JPnyc's post, the someone figured out the problem.
