Wheel Mouse (resolved)
Silly question, but how do you turn the wheel off, on windows XP. It used to be dead easy in NT, just went to control panel and then mouse. The option just does not seem to exist in XP.
This is only important as we have a custom app here which goes nuts if you accidentally knock the wheel.

Yes you can disable the wheel function.
Go to Control Panel then click the mouse icon.
then click hardware tab, click properties button, click advanced settings tab.
You should see a choice called wheel detection. Click the pull-down menu and choose Detection disabled. Hit the OK button and CPU will prompt for restart. After restart the wheel will be disabled.
Hope this helps
