I cannot install controls onto the forms anymore.When I drag a control
from the toolbox to the form my cursor changes to a circle when leaving the
toolbox
box and nothing happens.

Trying reinstall VB6 did not help altough I doubt if VB6 was properly
removed.

Any hints as to what went wrong ? Did I click on something by mistake ?

I can't drag a control onto a form either, but I can double click on a control and have it popped onto the form.

I can also single click on it, then draw it on the form. Can you do those?

You have to either double click or "draw" the control after selecting the type. I don't think VB has ever let you drag and drop a control. Access allows it, but not standard VB.

Double-clickling works indeed but the single-click and drag does not work
since yesterday.
Before it was ok.Anyhow,I can use your method of double-clicking.

What about single click and then drawing it on the form?

I ask, because if you wish to place a control within a container (like a frame or picture box or whatever), double clicking won't do it. Double clicking with add it to the form itself. If you wanted to put it in a container control, you would have to cut the control off of the form and paste it into the container.

Whereas, if you just click it, you can draw it anywhere you wish (i.e., on the form itself or in a container control.)
