IDE problems with Visusalu Studio 6
Hi everybody!
I just wanted to see, if anyone came across a real strange behaviour of the VB6 IDE.
First, when opening an existing project (of which I know, that the links to other components are correct) the IDE does not react to all of my user-interactions; e.g. I cannot open the dialogs for referring to DLLs or components.
In addition I secondly cannot compile the project. The process just stops without any message. I do not even get the dialog to change the save-location for the exe (by the way, it's a standard exe-project).
The third thing is, that the interface seems to "blink" or to make refreshes all the time (I'm noticing that by looking at the mouse pointer).
All in all, I'm pretty confused and I hope, that some of you might have an idea about that strange IDE behaviour.
Thanks a lot,
tailor.

Does this happen regardless of what project you open, or only on one, specific, project?

I have nothing to offer you aside form some suggestions.
When posting "bugs/problems" like that, it helps if you include the O/S your running, if the program in question has always had the problems being stated (or had they just started) if it was a store boughtin product (if not, i wouldnt bother posting, you probly have a "screwy" download), any 'patchs' that my have been installed, if problems started after that. As much detail as posable.
Ive had VB installed for a long time (not a pro with it), and never really have any problems with it, nothing like you have posted.

Re: IDE problems with Visusalu Studio 6
Thanks so far!!!
Some additions:
- I have Win XP Pro running
- It's an original (bought) version of VB-Studio 6 with Service Pack 5 installed
- It's only happening with that specific project...
A reinstall is an option - but I'll think there should be sth. else... ?!?
Thanks,
tailor
