First, an assumption: A program will generate the Program not responding message if the ui has not called PeekMessage in the last five seconds. I'm not really sure about that.

If it was, is it possible to call PeekMessage from a program on behalf of another .exe? The executable in question generates the ...not responding message when it gets busy - I do not have access to that source code.
