Try dmc2, an ocx that plays mp3. And its the best i ever seen, with a good helpfile included. ( i have it if u want).

actaully i know how to play mp3 files. but i dont know how to add visualization effects to them. someone told me that i can add visualizations using directX.

Ok! If you can, download directx 7.0 SDK and have a look. It have a lot of codesamples even for VB.
