I screwed up my wireless network....
I was trying to add security to my wireless network, and being a retard doesn't get you very far. I screwed it all up. I reset to factory defaults, now I can't access the internet. I did everything right, but I can't get on the internet. I've tried everything I know, which is not much, but it still doesn't work.
Note: the internet shows that it's connected, but I can't connect..how gay?
Specs :
Wireless G broadband router.

Re: I screwed up my wireless network....
You probably have WEP security turned on (as you should). This means that you have to put the same key in the router that you use in the computer. The easiest way to do this is connect a cable, open the router confiuration, generate a WEP key, and after it is generated (use maximum size for the key)
you just copy it and paste it into the Wireless configuration in your network configuration for the wireless card. I did the same thing last week when I upgraded the bios in my router. It is a pita, but what else is new?
Post back if you have any questions. The password is probably still in your computer, but it is hard to paste it back into the router, so I suggest that you generate a new key, and post it into the computer.
If you have a DSL, then you probably have to log on to the DSL network. Type that info in at the router, first.
