ugh homework...stupid math
The teacher gave this really nice and easy bonus assignment...But my binder was lost before the weekend and so I'm really behind in many class's -- some teachers gave me 1 day extension -- thankfully my binder turned up this morning.
I got history and english to get done asap.
The math is almost done except a few *#&$*% annoying questions -- somewhat fun though.
I figured some of you may either be interested to see the results or have fun trying. I find this math super easy, I am just missing one thing I know it.
nPr nCr n! -- Its all easy -- I know its something small that I am missing. I even have the answers but I need to proove them.
In a standard deck of cards how many 10-card hands can you be dealt which:
(b) contain exactly 3 aces?
In how many ways can the word ISOSCELES be arranged if the arragment must:
(d) consonants are together?
How many 13-card hands can be dealt from a standard deck which:
(c) exactly 2 clubs and 3 diamonds?

Re: ugh homework...stupid math
Hey outa 52 questions and I had 3....
Besides I already figured it out -- assisgment finished.
The tricky part was I was forgetting the fact that in question 1 i posted:
3 aces = 4C3
That leaves 52-4 = 48 cards left = in a ten card hand = 48C7
So the answer is 4C3 * 48C7
I got the rest.
I was just asking for help.
So don't relate me to a scumbag -- as a bag I am worth much more than scum...Maybe dirt -- dirtbag -- dirt doesn't need luck

*Danger - Controversial rant*
I hate pre-uni education in this country.
They teach you pointless things like how plants procreate (who gives a flying **** about that?) but precious little on how humans do it. This is why Britain has such a stuffy attitude to such things - ingorance
I do not need to know what the cross section of a volcano looks like, unless I want to be a geologist and frankly I have no desire to throw my life away doing that! Geography in particular is TOTALLY IRRELEVANT, as is History (the way it is currently taught, on the whole). Geography is a non-subject, a pergatory, much like Religious Education, which is just insulting to my intelligence.
Drama teachers should all be killed. Vindictive bunch of *****.
Home Ec is sexist, French is just something they make you do to fill in 3 hours of the week, ditto German. If they want people to learn modern languages why not teach them Russian or Japanese? They are much cooler than any european cack. Cyrillic pwnz jo0!
Science , Maths , English , PE and History are all necessary, I think other subjects should be vocational after Year 9 (approx 14 years). I was forced to take German but only because the alternative was French.
I don't live here any more.

And What the hell is going on with these schools that don't encourage competition between pupils? Are we deliberately trying to spawn a generation of mindless drones capable only of following the guy in front. We seem to be doing a good job so far.
Not bitter though eh?

As for English....don't get me started. I HATED that subject, and the teacher, snobby-nosed c0w
About the only subjects that were relatively enjoyable, and useful (although that is debatable) were science and Maths.
For English I had to study shakespeare??? SHAKESPEARE!!!
The language he used dies out centuries ago, ehy couldn't we have read Lord of the Rings instead? I would have been glued to the books if we had
ARGH!!!!!!
I cant slag off english because my school did at least attempt to make it interesting for us. This verged on gullibility on at least 3 occasions. The main one being ewhen we were doing the topic of "War". We managed to convince the young english teacher that "Terminator 2 - Judgement Day" had a lot to say about the plight of those suffering in an atomic war. Silly cow fell for it and we spent an extended lesson watching it! woo000t pwnd!!

Spelling is a PART of English. Didn't mind P.E. when it was basketball because I was the only student over 6 feet tall
(5 Inches over to be precise)

How sensible. Nobody ever hurts their ankles playing hockey (unless your playing against a girls team and by then you are as good as dead anyway).
