Jobs for ASM programmers? is this even an option?

Is there any jobs out there for ASM programmers? or is ASM just *a plus* for any c++ programmers resume?.

I have pretty much no doubt in my mind that ASM programming is a valuable skill, although probably shouldn't be used exclusively. I expect a lot of stuff, like mathematical stuff, that needs to be done fast is done in just ASM. Maybe things like encryption and compression.

I believe that the call for ASM is primarily for size. The
last contract I had with ASM was dealing with small scale
mapping on the floor of the Arabian Gulf. Speed was an
issue, but the overriding concern was the size of the
program. The whole damn thing had to fit in 10K.
