    Internet Optimizer (grrr)

    Hi,
I've just removed the annoying Internet Optimizer spyware/adware from my system, However, I'm still being redirected to Internet-Optimizer.com for various error messages, such as DNS errors, 404's etc.

I can't find any help on google, all I can find is instructions on removing the software.

    Can anyone help?!!!
    Thanks.

And you don't want to follow the removal instructions because...?

This would probably be a few registry settings, but you should go through the instructions completely or get something like spybot or some other spyware remover and run it on your box

Try Giant, I tried it the other day and it's much better than Spybot and Ad-aware. Within the month, Microsoft is supposed to be releasing their version of Giant too, so it'll be interesting... (For those that don't know, Microsoft bought Giant's anti-spyware solution).
