    Jobs In Retail

Are you considering a job change?
Are you interested in entering into the IT industry?
Are you a computer geek, who spends days on end trying to program an application that far exceeds your skill level? Then when everything looks bleak and you are about to slit your wrists, you realize..."I should have taken a job in the retail industry!"

Allow me to introduce myself. I am an experienced software developer. I have spent years on end learning, endless hours studying, lost massive amounts of blood, sweat and tears on programming, just to learn how to write a proper database connectionstring. And I'm here to tell you...The IT industry SUCKS!!!

Run, Run away. If you think programming for a living is fun and exciting...well, it isn't! It's endless days, weeks and years of dealing with bosses who make promises, then look to you to make sure their promise is kept. Customers who have little more than a single functioning brain cell, trying to use the software you miraculously created in 6 weeks, because your boss promised it would be done in 6 weeks. Fellow programmers who have more education and experience than yourself, but when you actually ask them a question, you realize they have all been lobotomized and the only thing they are capable of doing is staring at you blankly, cross-eyed and drooling and the only verbal answer they can muster is "Have you checked the documentation?".

We are underpaid, overworked slaves of an industry whose practioners consider themselves on the "bleeding" edge of technology...the "bleeding" is actually coming from the developers themselves. Don't fall for the "The IT industry has more positions than it can fill." hype. This isn't true. If it were true, then why have so many former IT workers changed careers?

My advice, you should pursue a far more reqarding and lucrative career in the retail industry. Look at the benefits! Employee discounts, meeting new people, your not chained to a cubicle and forced to bang on a keyboard all day, to ensure your lobotomized bosses promises are kept.

Forbes magazine says "The retail industry is the new IT industry."
PC World magazine says "We are shutting our magazine down and going into retail!"
Bill Gates says "I should have been a sales associate!"

So, don't miss this opportunity. Head to your nearest retail chain and apply today. You could be starting your new exciting retail career tomorrow.
