Re: Voice Word on VB6
You can buy Encarta, or subscibe to Dictionary.com to get pronounciation of a word. It is not easy for the English language, due to the rules of grammar.
Half of America has trouble with grammar, and it seems to be getting worse instead of better. My father was a court reporter, so he insisted that we speak correctly, and also learned to spell. I am fortunate.

For what language? There is a component from MS that can do this for english, but I am not sure if it is free and redistributable...

Re: Voice Word on VB6
Surely, it's for English Language. I have a Software called EasyLingo V 2.0. This Software is Transulater from English to an Arabic Language. When you enter any word or just Keep the Mouse Over this word it will Pronounce it and transulate it to you.
Is there any way to get only the Pronouciation File from this Software ??
Thanks,

That would, most likely, be illegal on multiple levels. First, you do NOT have the right to disassemble or take apart any software. Second, even if you have, you do NOT have permission (license) to use that part in your own application.

Try searching on PSC (www.planetsourcecode.com). I remember seeing an application there which uses a Microsoft component for pronouncing text in english.

You could use the "text to speech" features of microsoft's SAPI.
Have a look at this page to get you started.

That would be the Narrator, under Accesories -> Accessibility
I don't think that you can use their .dll's, but you could probably turn on the Narrator for users. Not sure how you'd get it to translate. Does it speak in tongues? I only have English here.

Yes, it's speaks with Tongue. The only thing is you have to type whatever you want to pronunce and then will get it Pronunce it perfectly.
And one more thing dgliennaSuppose I got rid of this matter. What I have to do is listing the whole words in an Access DB and make another table that contains the Diffinition of the Arabic Language. Surely, in the English Language One English Word can have many different maeaning in Arabic. What I'm intend to do is having a Database with Two Tables. One table is for the English Words and the other is for the Arabic words and setting a Primary Key between these two tables One-To-Many. 'One English Word may Have Many Different Meaning in Arabic'
dglienna, Could you support me with some ideas in this matter ?
Many Thanks in advane,

Re: Voice Word on VB6
wouldn't the opposite also be true? wouldn't an Arabic word have different meanings in English, also a one-to-many relationship? If not, then it could be possible to do it. I think that it would be a big job to undertake, as there are already tools out there that prolly already do the same thing.
هتاف للترحيب , I found a website that does translation.
http://www.ectaco.co.uk/online/dicti...ion=1&x=13&y=6
there are others that require registration.
EDIT: I found a few words that had no translation. Oh, well.

A friend of mine is vision-impaired, and he has programs that read to him. You may want to check into them. If you offer to help them somehow, they may be willing to share some information with you.

Just having some fun! There is a free product called IEspell which you can download from HERE . I've used it for quite a while and I believe it to be safe, It spell checks data entry panels like this one. I ran your post through it.
