A+ Certification
I want to go for this help desk job that i happened to see posted on a job message board and it says must pass the A+ certification within the first 120 days of employment. Can anyone give me some info on what the A+ test contains and how hard it is too pass.

Re: A+ Certification
CompTIA A+ is pretty off topic for this forum...
If you can't pass it, you probably should look for a different profession. There are TONS of sites that will help get your A+ certification.

It's the certification your asking about. I tihnk you'll get your questions answered if you use Google, than the General Development Forum here.
Good luck

Until the hardware questions really start flooding in I think a better forum would be General PC.

Re: A+ Certification
Let me first say that I believe your question is okay for this forum even though it isn't a perfect fit.
I wanted to point out a short article on the A+ exam from Developer.com:
http://www.developer.com/lang/other/article.php/3071631
This doesn't really answer the question asked, but it might add some insight to what the answer may be. If you don't get a better answer, then PM me after the holidays and I can see if I can track down a couple of people that have taken the test.
Brad!

Re: A+ Certification
I took an A+ training course (but never took the exam because my work went away from hardware) and our instructor described it this way: A+ = D-. In other words, you need to do D- work (percentage wise) to get A+ certification. This means you can miss a lot of questions and still pass. Many people I work with passed the exam on the 1st try.
