FTP problem
I have a problem FTPing larger files. This does not happen on everyones pc but only on a select few. We are using the MSINET.ocx Inet control and when we are doing a "GET" it hangs and then errors out in the middle of the transfer.
Error connecting to 'Your IP Address'
Error #: -2147417848
Automation Error
Now I ftp the same file and it works everytime. But on some of these other pc's it just errors out in the middle of the transfer. We tried changing the Timeout but still have problem.
Any ideas?

Re: FTP problem
Do the machines in question have the same version of “MSINET.ocx” on them?

Yes, they are the same version. Also we checked the dependencies and they are the same.

Re: FTP problem
Just brainstorming here.
Do those machines have a bad transfer rate?
Is the network dropping a lot of packets?
Could the router be the problem?
I know this is real no help to you, but it is stuff I have run into.

Re: FTP problem
Everything seems to be fine on their pc. The guy sitting next to them will work just fine. Don't know what to think.
