Fire Fox manual proxy configuration not working
Ive been trying to configure the manual proxy setting in Fire Fox but the browser keeps connecting to any site typed in ignoring the settings.
Entering in a non-existent proxy server into the http proxy field should block all outgoing connections. Should it not?

Re: Fire Fox manual proxy configuration not working
it does in IE. have you tried it there? you may need to change it in your network connection, if it isn't the same one that is in FF.

Firefox could be using the cached version of the sites. Also, type about:config into the address bar and check the settings for the following reflect what you've entered:
network.proxy.http_port
network.proxy.http
network.proxy.type should be set to 1

Works great. I forgot to change the network.proxy.http_port to 80. Thanks for the help.
