This is a game I originally released back in 1998 and it even made it's way to the most popular Finnish computers maganize with a short review. Boy did it feel great at the time. Scary to post code from my VB4 times. Hmm... I had had VB only for less than a year when I made that game.

Did you read the READ FIRST.txt Bodwad? The WaveMix32.dll file located in the Whack The Mole.zip needs to be in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM32 directory if you have XP/2000/NT. WINDOWS/SYSTEM if you have 95/98/ME.

What is the exact error message you are getting Bodwad? Is it Wavmix32.dll not found? Is it any of the wav files not found? Is it that there's a problem with the font not being found? Did you run the source code instead?
Run the source code version of Whack the mole and let me know the exact error message you are getting. It works no matter what OS I'm using. Just as long as the DLL file is in the right place. The font doesn't really matter because VB automatically uses another one. But it is bloody font and it makes it look cool.

Ohhhhhhhh, I see the error message you are getting now. I tried the game out in college. They have XP. The file that is missing is Wavemix.ini. I'll update it when I get home from school and include that file. Or better yet, I
l'll look for it on the internet. When you have the file, put that in the C:\WINDOWS directory.

Our game is different from yours, it isn't called one-handed bandit but a "fruitgame" (hedelmäpeli) instead. In some games it is even possible to set bets to multiple rows at the same time. The real world game is also harder than the one I've coded, it is almost impossible to run out of money in mine when you know to just give an impossible bet and double a few times

Bodwad, I never added levels to it. Although I should have. However, I do have some codes for it.
To activate the Cheat menu. Go into Options. Click on Parental Lock to open it up. The name and password is NAME and PASSWORD all uppercase. Kill Barney cheat should be in there.
Another way to get a cheat to add to there (I forgot what it was) would be to get a high score and use Jacob Roman as the name. You'll get a special message on the bottom.
Another way would be to get over 50 kills. Use Well Done or Extra Crispy difficulties to get to that number.
Another way would be to get zero misses only when your difficulty is at Medium Well or above.
I believe 3 of the cheats are Rainbow Blood, Infinite Lives, and No Cursor.
