    What is this?

As I'm typing into the forum, or replying, my cursor seems to be blinking, rather just moving rather oddly at times. Anybody else notice it?

As it moves, it is vibrating at times.

    Re: What is this?

When you say it vibrates at times, you mean that the blink rate is studdered or so?

At work I have a PIII 550 w/327 Mbs of RAM and it buggs me like you wouldn't
believe. Almost everytime that I am replying I loose my cursor because of the
resource drain from all the animated smilies, the big Ad in the upper right
corner of the page, etc. Even at home now with my P4 2.8 dual channel 1
Gig DDR RAM even takes a hit by the new MS Speed ad and the Sprint ads.

It blinks sometimes and sometimes not - dont know where it is so I have to
click in the reply box to refresh the cursor position.

I think the new version of the Forum software is more resource intensive, but
    its worth it.

    Re: What is this?

I've lost my cursor, a few times, but that is 'cause of the touch pad. I really don't like it, but am too lazy to carry around my trackball (which I really like, I have two of them). Back to the problem. It's not happening now, so I think that it may have something to do with the forum, as opposed to my machine. I have a P4 with 512M of ram. It may be loaded down, though.
This morning, though, the cursor seemed possessed!

    Re: What is this?

I have that, but I've noticed it in the old forum as well. And it started after I had the Japanese keyboard IME installed on this machine. You have any language packs or keyboards installed/

David, what Ad is currently being displayed when you get the "Shimmering" effect?

mendhak, how do those make an impact on this? I dont have allot of
    knowledge on those.

Ps: mendhak, have you been smoking that pink candy cane again.

M$ Live Communication Server 2005, but it isn't happening all of the time. Last post it was, this post it wasn't. Kind of odd.

I work in English and Japanese, so I have the Japanse IME installed, so I can switch between the keyboards. 蛙 <--- Like that.

I think that since entering Unicode characters is allowed, the cursor is somehow changed. Sometimes, you may even see the cursor with a small, teeny-tiny little triangular flag on the top of the cursor.

And I see this only on machines which have Unicode-related input possible.
