    Hey- Im having a wierd problem with the winsock control: some of the time, when i use a winsock control and connect to a machine on the internet (it doesnt happen when i connect to a computer on my lan) as soon as i close the project vb crashes! (illegal operation) and when i try to close the program thru the illegal op message box, it locks up my computer!its odd because it only happens in some projects i use the winsock control on ( the winsock control is the only thing in common)....im running vb5EE sp3 with winsock controls 6.0 on win98.....any help GREATLY APPRECIATED

    Make sure you are closing your connections before you end your program and make sure you are releasing all your object variables also
