    I hate microsoft.

    So do I. Originally, the Amiga back in the 80's had the first Windows GUI. Later, Apple ripped it off for their Mac. And later, Microsoft ripped off Apple's for their Windows OS. Windows is nothing but a rip off of a rip off. Steve Jobs was pissed at Bill for that in the past. Just look at the movie Pirates of Silicon Valley and you'll see what I mean.

    So does linux... lol

    Microsoft and linux rips everyone off then files patents to keep them from being riped off..... makes me want to call them cheaters!

    I hate xerox just for their stupidity.... I mean they did everything first... yet... poof

    No they didn't. The first GUI was developed by Douglas Engelbart (Inventor of the computer mouse - or as he called it the “X-Y Position Indicator”) in 1962. The Xerox system was actually based on a previous theoretical GUI called sketchpad described by Ivan Sutherland in 1963.

    You can see footage of the first practical GUI demonstrated here in 1968 - several years before xerox started development on their WIMP system:

    Indeed. Also just for interest's sake, the first OOP language was Object Simula, developed in the early 60's. I saw a short movie of an ancient CAD program where a guy duplicated a large complex structure with a single mouse click. Cool beans for the sixties!
