Install ViewSonic keyboard driver
I just bought a new keyboard and since i am running crappy win 98 i need to install the drivers for the hot keys. The docs that came with the keyboard say to dl this http://www.viewsonic.com/support/dri...product&key=47
I extracted the compressed archive and then in the created dir i ran the setup.exe. Problem is when i plug the keyboard in it dosen't work. When i plugged it in before i kept getting a prompt to install win98 cd to install a usb driver or some crap like that. Now when i plug the kb in i get no prompt and no light for the num lock key. Im pretty much fed up with this computer and i think in a day or two im gonna drive over to the gwb and throw it off.

Re: Install ViewSonic keyboard driver
I changed the default app that opens compressed archives to WinZip from WinRAR to follow the installation steps that viewsonic posted. But now when i try and dl the driver mozilla dl's like 1/3 of it then completes. *** is the point of a usb keyboard anyway?

Re: Install ViewSonic keyboard driver
never even have seen one, but it shouldn't matter. did you get the USB service working for W98? You could remove the app, and start again (after a re-start).
Did you delete the old file before trying to download it again?

Re: Install ViewSonic keyboard driver
I changed the default app that opens compressed archives to WinRAR from WinZip which was the original way i had it. I finally got the whole archive to dl and i followed the installation steps that viewsonic has on their site but nothing happens after i reboot. At least yesterday the keyboard seemed to be getting power cause the numlock led was lit but now nothing. Im just gonna take it back. I can't see having a usb keyboard anyway. I only have two usb slots and i can't fill one with a stupid keyboard.
