Online Members now located at the bottom...

I really liked the way it was before; showing who was online was at the top of the forum, without having to scroll to the bottom to see that information. Then it was quicker to know when someone logged out or if they just got back on. Is there any plans for change concerning this?

Really? Does this happen every time as well? Just to check are you using the link from "Qucki Links" at the top? I've tested this with my regular member account and it still works for that. I can't think of any reason it should just pick you out. Wonder if its to do with the custom title you just lost .

But NotLKH won a contest and had the colored one . It was only removed yestaday so I was wondering if that could be to do with it .

I prefer it at the top too. The forum display controls are also down the bottom, it makes digging up year old threads very difficult

Its just like you said, Electro,
Its a bug where if you're not logged in, you can access Who's Online .
If You ARE logged in, then it is forbidden.

And, The Custom Title Decapitation was just coincidental with this phenomena.

Well it worked for me untill Brad said he was going to shut it off. First I thougth he was serious. Then I thought he said he was kidding. But it is still not working. So I guess he was serious after all.

My guess is that in tring to stop you seeing who was invisible he's accidently stopped you seeing it altogether. Unless of course he was serious and has just forgot to stop guests and unactivated members too .

Now it seems that even unlogged guests can't access it.

Yea the post that NoteMe thought was a joke wasn't it was just Brad forgot to block Guests and others too....Not sure if he will be enabling it again, I have asked him to reconsider though .

Re: Online Members now located at the bottom...

The "Who's online" page was disabled because it was requested to be disabled. Those people that are surfing invisibly didn't like others knowing where they were on the forum. Seemed like a legitimate request.

It is like the request of this thread. People are asking to keep as much off the top of the page so that you can get to the threads as quickly as possible (as close to the top as possible), yet you are asking for more stuff to be put at the top. We can't have it both ways. As such, I'm likely to leave the lists of whose on line at the bottom as fewer people have complained about this than have complained about too much stuff at the top.......

(You see, I lose either way )

But regular members wouldn't be able to see the people that are invisible so it shouldn't effect them? I thinkt he only reason the issue was raised was because regular members were given Moderator access to the who's on-line page.

I agree with the Who's Browsing the same forum thing, although I miss seeing it I do prefer there being less stuff up there .

I've messed with the "Who's online" settings. Regular members can now track where I'm at....

I believe the settings are now appropriate.
