Depends on what level you are on, and what you want to learn.
- Is it just playing with the objects and API
- OpenGL?
- DX?
- 2D?
- 3D?
And what you want to learn.
[Edit]
Ohh, and what version of VB you got...

More in the area of DX, 2D stuff. Not too beginner but not too moderate.

Well then you should aim on DX7 maybe....I have read only ONE good book for VB6 and DX7, it starts out with a bit of common controlls and APIs in VB6, then it starts you off with DX7 and DDraw. Then it ends in some D3D, but not much. Here you have a link to it.
