check file names , orphan files..etc ?
Is there any good tool that can do this . I've tried bunch or them but they didn't come up with any thing . The thing is whenever I copy to one of the partitions(only on of them 80g) , after I restart the comp , it goes to checking for consistency or whatsoever and begins deleting and recovering , deleting and recovering these files. Windows XP's Chkdsk *sucks*.
Thanks

wouldn't that be the indexing feature? I've turned mine off, but it came on again. I think MSWORD turns it on, somewhere.

Umm , I think it has to do with indexing service because each time it finds orphan files , it says correcting index record or something like that . I'm ganna turn it off and see what happens .

Nope , it's still off . It's complaining about folder structure is corrupt . I'm going to delete all the partitions and do it again .
