What do you mean
Do you mean a program to work within AOL, or a whole new AOL-like information service? Please explain some more details.

Need Info
Again, what type of a project are you desiring? A game, a messenger, etc... Just saying an AOL program leaves a lot open. If you have no idea what type of program to create, that is fine, but it would be very helpful to have some idea of a direction. I think it would be a great idea to make a whole new AOL-like service, but that would require a GREAT DEAL of work.

what i had in mind was that we make a program that makes things easier in aol, games in chatrooms, and anything that we want to put in, even non-aol things. however, I'm open to anything that anyone can think of.

You gotta at least have some idea as to what it's going to do. For example, my prog will support plugins for when i come up with more features. The prog itself has no feratures, I just include several plugin on the site. This way, 3rd parties can also develop features. (To get certified, a seal of hazmat, and a cert number, I'll need to look at the sourcecode though.)
As for my idea, why not make a cc (chat command) prog

Why not make a chat game...scramble the word and make them guess it...it can keep score on who wins.

Now we are getting somewhere. I like the idea on a scramble game. I haven't worked with AOL programming before, but it would be a great learning experience.

Hahaha.. I love the Uninstall idea.. hahahahaha
AND since it's AOL, no matter what you make, it will be HACKER friendly.. Hahahahahahaha
I HATE AOHELL!!!! Worst Rip Off Artists there is next to Microshaft! And HACKERS LOVE AOL user IDs just so that they can use the accounts to get into government sites...
yea, go ahead and make your AOHELL programs.. but I won't be surprised if you come back here telling everyone you quit because of hackers and virii intrusions...
I got all my friends and reletives off of AOHELL because of that VERY reason.

Scramblers have been done before, people have been doing them for the last few years on AIM.

<--one of the old "scrambler" makers. Any old AOLer/Scrambler person will remember my old, crappy "Raydr's Scrambler".
I was forced to make a new one...which has become one of the most used ones (again). Look for "Simple Scrambler" in the AOL Scrambler chat rooms.
