    Resolved Opening word documents [resolved]

I've written an app that automates word and it works quite happily on my dev. machine. Of course, I go to install it on the test server and it falls on it's backside because it fails when I try to add a document to the App.Documents collection using the Open method.

I have done a variety of File.Exists scenarios to make sure the file is there and it still fails.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi

Maybe no word installed on deployment machine...

Did you made a setup or just running the executable?

Word is installed on the running machine and the app is fully trusted through the security.

It happily creates the Application object and I can add a new Document object to the Documents collection.

It just won't let me open an existing doc....sob...sniff....

Note to self. When you ask the system admin to install Word 2003, don't believe he will do as you ask...always double check yourself....
It couldn't handle the XP dlls with the 2k3 interops.

    Thanks for all thoughts though
