    Logo & Alias Register

I'm designing a web site for my company. It is a very small company right now. I created a Logo in Paint Brush, but it is pretty attractive.
What I would like to know is do I have to get the Logo registered and a copyright? Any idea how much does it cost.

Also, the company's name is pretty lengthy, if I create
an alias (an abbreviation) do I need to register that too? And how much would it cost and how do I do that.

    thanks for your help

You'll need to register it, but where and how depends upon the country you're in. Each country will have it's own registrar, you'll need to ask people there.

Except if you're in Siberia. No companies, just signboards.

I know some software packages such as Adobe Photoshop offer watermarks on the logo's, so the logo will only appear correctly if used on your website, though you'll have to search Google on 'image copyright watermarks' for more info...
