Here I give the chronicles of my adventure to AOL.com
I started by typing in the address of course. I was then prompted by being redirected to (address)/speed with the title being "checking speed"
After staring at this site redirecting to AOL.com and thus back for about 5 minutes I decided to take action.
I searched AOL on google and connected to www.aol.co.uk
Surprisingly, I was not put into an infinite loop this time. But something was wrong! All I could see was a large blank space. Inspecting adblock soon revealed that I had filtered *aol.* and */aol* for some reason. I deactivated adblock so as to continue the quest.
Ye gods the horror! Pink on pink! AAAAWGGHGHG Desperately trying to ignore the queries about 9.0 and broadband I clicked "about AOL" and checked out the latest press releases. I guess "AOL makes things more fun with new-look Games"
I don't understand why the DoJ don't sue AOL under monopoly laws. They seem to have COMPLETELY cornered the "ISP's that suck" market, nobody else can touch them as far as dc stats and shocking customer service go.
I heard that they are giving virus protection software to 20 million users, as opposed to their current policy of chargin $2.95 per month. It may be worthwhile for my server if the software is any good. I don't keep it connected to the internet for that reason...
I guess that having one account would be good enough for many machines, too!
